Dear Greg,

I would be interested in participating but I´m not sure if the
lab-experiments we designed some years ago are serieous / scientific
enough to be published. To introduce students to isotope fractionation,
mass-spectrometry and gas-chromatography we do the following experiments:

1) Measurement of the isotopic composition of atmospheric oxygen and
nitrogen and comparison with the isotopic composition of the same gases
( and CO2) in expired air
2) Measurement of the C- isotopic composition of different sugars /
honey and comparison with the C-isotopic composition of CO2 released
during respiration of yeast feeded with the sugars / honey.
3) Measurement and comparison of the isotopic composition of CO2 of
expired air and exhaust gas of cars.

Please let me know, if these topics may be of interest for the issue
mentioned below.

Have a nice day

Ulrike Schulte
