Hi All,

We finally fixed our vacuum problem on our Delta Plus. It turns out
the body of the Penning gauge was dirty/contaminated. So we soaked it in an
organic solvent, put it back together and it pumped down into 10-7 in less
than 10 minutes! Now if we could only figure out why we have no emission.
We've checked the filament (resistance is 0.2), changed out the fuse on the
high voltage board and replaced the op amp (IC6) that Thermo said might be
the problem. Still no emission.

Any ideas on this problem?

Bernie Genna
