Hi Ethan,
We have not yet had a problem running EAS and Isodat NT 2.0 simultaneously
on the same computer. An advantage of running both programs together is
identifying if problems in a run are a consequence of the EA or IRMS.
It takes more of your time to set up the run in both programs. Also with
the extra memory use, you could be more likely to cause a crash during the
run.
I may use both programs for testing purposes, but typically it is Isodat
only.

Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] Continuous Flow IRMS + EA: Eager 300 vs Costech EAS?
Greetings isotopists!
If any one out there has had direct experience with both C-E Eager
300 and Costech's EAS software for elemental analysis I'd love to
hear about it. Specifically, I am interested in hearing about the
problems encountered and advantages/disadvantages with these two
particular EA acquisition software packages running simultaneously w/
Isodat (1.5 and/or 2.0) w/ Thermo IRMS instrumentation.
Many thanks,
Ethan Goddard
