Dear colleagues,

we would like to draw your attention to the EGU session BG5.03

"Application of Stable Isotopes in Biogeosciences"

(Convenor: Böttcher, M.E.; Co-Conveners: Bouillon, S.; Buchmann, N.)

at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2007
(Vienna, Austria, 15 -20 April 2007)

This session is open to all contributions in biogeochemistry and ecology
where stable isotope techniques are used as analytical tools, with a focus
on stable isotopes of light elements (C, H, O, N, S, …). We welcome
studies from both terrestrial and aquatic (including marine) environments
as well as methodological and experimental studies that introduce new
approaches or techniques (including natural abundance work and labelling
studies).

For your information: Results from the successful EGU session on the
‘Application of Stable Isotopes in Biogeosciences’ that took place in 2005
have recently been published in a special issue of Organic Geochemistry
(Bouillon & Böttcher (eds.) Vol.37, Issue 10, p.1197-1425).

All information can be found under http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2007.

The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is January 15th, 2007.

Please do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any questions.

We hope that we can stimulate your interest in the programme and we are
looking forward to receiving your contributions on new stable isotope
results, and meeting you in Vienna.
