Hi Joralf,
Option 1: Uninstall Isodat completely and install it again from the
original CD.
Option 2: Call Thermo at Bremen. As far as I know, that's where the
isodat software is being developed.

Jakov

Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] Isodat GasConfiguration.iso is corrupt
Hi all,
About a week ago one of our systems which is running with Isodat crashed
because of high temperatures. After we installed a new fan we could not
open Isodat. We found out that during the crash the computer was writing
data to Isodat GasConfiguration.iso so it's now corrupt. Unfortunatly,
the only backup we have is from May 2007. We replaced the corrupt one
with the old one and Isodat is able to start up again.
But, all sequences, methods and results which are modified after the
date of the backup we used are not working. We get a message saying:
"Unexpected File Format".
I'm now thinking of 2 solutions:
1. Try to edit the .iso, but I don't know which program to use for that
2. Make new methods, which shouldn't be hard, takes a lot of time, but
then we still can't open the old results because they are linked to a
method which doesn't exist.
Any other options?
Tnx for the answers!
Joralf Quist
