Dear list members,

Greetings. We are facing a nagging problem with C-N reference peak-shapes every time the IRMS (DELTA V Plus) is shut down and restarted (owing to electrical maintenance). Instead of square reference peak we find sigmoidal peaks on rising side. Normally Thermo engineer cuts around two mm of the capillary (coming from conflo)at point of entering to the needle valve. Following this exercise the peak shape becomes square. I would appreciate if i get some suggestion to understand the reasons and any possible solution. If any of you want to know the peak shape i will be happy to send the figure as attachment.

best wishes
