to work as one of an interdisciplinary research team on an NSF-funded
project (upto 3 years). The project will focus on separating the real-time
measurement of net ecosystem exchange (NEE) using eddy covariance
technique into photosynthesis and respiration using a recently-developed
fast-response isotopic (C13) flux system. Desired qualifications include:
1) basic stable isotope knowledge/measurement; 2) field measurements of
soil respiration and leaf-level gas exchange using Licor-6400 system; 3)
process-based ecosystem modeling (e.g. MAESTRA) to scale up chamber and
leaf-level measurements to ecosystem scale. Experience with instrument
development and eddy covariance technique is preferred. Competitive salary
with benefits. Interested candidates should Email their CV and names of
three references to Professor Daniel Murnick at Rutgers University
