Hi,
Please visit the data base in www.Earthref.org, and then GREM reservoir
data base.  You will find a section on Rivers.  Some of the data may
have Ba and Ca concentration in rivers (along with references); it also
reports Ba and Ca concentrations in particulates.  Hope this helps.

I did find one, and it is about fish, but I think they did look at the
Ba/Ca 
ratios in the river water:
