ICP-MS laboratory (GEOTOP-UQAM-McGILL)

The GEOTOP Research Centre at the University du Quebec at Montreal
(UQAM is seeking a full-time research professional to manage an
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) laboratory.
Duties include development of new and established analytical methods
for stable and radiogenic isotopes, sample analysis and report
preparation for internal and external clients, trouble-shooting and
maintenance of the facility, supervision of facility use by
researchers and students, and graduate student training.

Candidates must have a PhD degree in Geology or Earth Sciences with
specialization in isotope geochemistry, and experience in developing
and testing analytical techniques using a multi-collector mass
spectrometer.  The working language at UQAM is French and a very good
knowledge of English is also required.  Candidates will be required
to take language proficiency tests.  Annual salary range is $35,407
to $67,126 depending on qualifications and experience.
