Atomic Energy of Canada also sells a Pt catalyst for H2-H2O
equilibration. You can choose pellets of various sizes or a powder. The
catalyst works identically to Hokko beads and may in fact be easier to
obtain in North America than purchasing from Asia. It may also be
possible that rods can be made, but you would have to ask them. Last
time we checked the price was ~ $1,000 to $1,050 Canadian for 100 mls of
the small pellets.
The catalyst is called "AECL Type 86-31M Catalyst" and I think you need
to specify the size you need.
