Another paper that might be of use:
Tieszen, L. L. & Bingyu, S. 1990. Stable carbon isotopic variation among
plants of the Inner Mongolian grasslands. In Y. Ba and P. Keli (Eds.),
Reports from the Inner Mongolia Grassland Ecosystem Research Station of
Academia Sinica (1979 - 1988). Beijing, Science Press. Pp: 273-287.
It compares root/base/stem/young leaf/mature leaf/dead leaf/inflorescence
for each of 4 species of C3 grasses.
It's quite difficult to get hold of. Let me know if you have problems &
I'll see if I can scan my own copy for you.
