Mike,

What's you computer to student ratio, or do you even care about such
things?
--Approximately 3 students per computer. Administrative computers are not included in the calculation.

Actually two questions: How many IT Support Staff do you have?
Computer Nerds (Hands on fix it, including servers) = X
Classroom support (professional development, Media Specialists etc) = X
--For 950 students, 140 staff, 375 computers, and 15 servers, we have
1.5 IT staff
1 Computer Integration Specialist

Are these two different roles in your building/district?
--Yes.

If you have a planned computer life cycle, how long is it (3 years, 5
years, go until they explode, etc)?
--Of course, some computers eventually fail, but most last us until they no longer run the software students and staff need to use. Past experience has been eight years for desktops and five years or less for laptops. By then, we are very happy to see them go.
