HI,
At gisu we have had trouble receiving Comcast email since some sort of change they had. sold? not sure.
I sent them a message about it, but don't know if they have fixed it. I think that what our spam-filter does not like is that they are passing it through too many servers, like spammers do. We also get spam from Comcast, so I don't want to let them in completely.
We use Exchange 2003, and I believe we have users who CAN access OWA at home using Comcast ISP. Our logon is encrypted.
Do you have reverse DNS? AOL will block your email if you don't.

Subject: HTTPS Webmail and Comcast issue
Greetings All,
I'm hoping that in your networking travels that you might have some
knowledge of what might be causing an issue for some of our webmail
users.
We are running an Exchange mail server, and utilizing the web access
feature for our remote users. We are using https, with our own
certificate for authentication. Users typically access it from a link
on our homepage(www.stowe.k12.vt.us) which points to
https://ssd-mail.stowe.k12.vt.us/exchange. Users connecting from most
ISPs (Powershift, Verizon, UVM, etc) can access webmail just fine.
However users that are connecting via Comcast connections can connect to
our website fine, but are getting a timeout message when they attempt
to access webmail. I happen to be one of those effected, but several
other members of our staff are also experiencing the same problem. I'm
wondering if any of you might be able to shed some light on why this
might be occurring? Our mail seems to be working fine otherwise, but
this is a significant issue for us, so I'd like very much to get it
resolved.
As always, thanks for taking the time to help out.
John
