Eric,
I agree the summer image update will be getting open source and MS updates to it. Ones like: Cute PDF, NVU the MS 2007 converters, and believe it or not there are a couple of free (if you are running windows) software downloads from microsoft that I like. One is called Photostory 3 which makes "the end of the year slide show" WAY easier. The other is called imageresizerpowertoy. With this one you can right click on an image (or multiple images) and resize them for the web or whatever on the fly.

On a similar note.....since Frontpage is going away being replaced by Web Expressions.....are people ponying up the cash for that or going to NVU or other open source web page development tools on the windows machines?

And thus "docx, xlsx, pptx converters" gets added to my summer image update
list.... ARGH! I had a similar experience with DocX a couple of months ago,
but after the first three students (in one week?) I haven't seen one since!

Can anyone confirm that the most recent OO has conversion built in? What
about StarOffice?

Eric
