Responsibilities:
Provides leadership in information technology
Models technology integration for K-12 staff
Is a member of the WHS/JHS professional teaching staff
Coordinates the District program in educational technology
Develops professional development programs in IT
Writes grants
Writes, submits and manages E-Rate applications and funding
Assists Windsor District schools with technology planning
Researches information technology integration programs
Supervises Windsor School District’s web site w/help from the webmaster
Represents Windsor Schools in state, regional and national meetings.
Chairs the Windsor School District Tech Team
Teaches Multimedia and Web Design
Administers FirstClass, OSX, and MacSchool servers
Break and fix technician for K-12
Qualifications:
B.A. in educational technology or other discipline in education.
Masters preferred.
Technology certification required
3-5 years experience in creating professional development programs in
information technology.
Ability to develop web site.
Knowledge of educational software and issues related to professional
development in information technology.
Technology planning experience.
Grant writing experience.
E-Rate funding experience
Knowledge of ISTE National Technology Standards
Knowledge of Vermont’s Standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
