Hi Brucie,
I use Appleworks for Spreadsheets; WP; and some photo, image work, such as
making books. I don't use AppleWorks for databases or presentations. It is a
great program.
Type to Learn, Jr. (which is lousy) for early keyboarding, and Ultrakey for
3-4-5 grades. And Appleworks for custom keyboarding exercises.
Very old, no frills Kid Pix 1.4 or so, with only the open canvas and simple
tools (wish the marketing dept. hadn't gotten hold of Kid Pix!).
HyperStudio for 3-4-5 multimedia.
Earthbrowser.
The Graph Club for K-3.
Inspiration
LEGO RoboLab for small group or individual projects
GameMaker on PCs (www.gamemaker.nl): this is very popular and fantastic!
iMovie for small group or individual projects - can't run a whole class yet.
TableTop, Jr. I just got and haven't worked with yet.
Haven't done much with websites yet, but some use of old Claris Home Page.
I've used First Class with some 5th graders and would go that route.
