I added it to one of our Google Apps for Ed domains to look at it. It's an extension to GAE so all student accounts are set up already. I haven't spent a lot of time exploring but I would think that it would offer more integration with Google Docs but it didn't, everything is an upload rather than insert from Google Docs and images aren't pulled from your Google Picasa account instead it's just an upload from computer, etc... Seemed like a very "lite" attempt at a LMS and might be useful for schools with a GAE domain but if you don't need the gradebook or box to manage assignments using a Google Site might be more useful as a course management tools where you can insert your Google presentations, youtube videos, google groups for discussion, etc...
