Dear colleagues,
I'm glad to connect with isogeochem list. A big
regards from RUSSIA!
The following problems we study in our group:
- experimental study of oxygen isotopic exchange
kinetic between minerals (mainly quartz and
wolframite) and fluid (water and solutions) with
special interest on crystal growth and surface
effects (under high temperature and pressure);
- experimental and theoretical modeling of isotope
exchange in solution-precipitation processes and
in diffusion controlling mechanisms;
- oxygen and sulfur isotope geochemistry in ore-
forming processes (geothermometry, water-rock
interaction, etc.), mainly of wolfram-bearing
deposits associated with granite intrusions;
- creating of new methods of sample preparation
for further isotope analysis (as the sample - a
new device for fluoration of milligram quantities
of water "in situ").
If anyone have an interests in such problems,
please, contact with me.
Now we starting an experimental study of 180
distribution between adsorbed water on mineral's
surface and "free" water. What anyone know
about it?
with best regards, Elena
