Dear Margaret,
I am (a)curious as to why the rubber brackets on your PRISM need replacement
..Do they harden, go limp or what? Other PRISM owners would like to know...and
(b) would it be all that difficult to come up with a home-made
replacement which should cost less than a commercial one? On our unit, it
looks to be a short length of horizontal rubber hose ( similar to vacuum
pump hose)through which a hole has been made in the wall ( top side) for the
bolt above it. That hole can probably be made by inserting a wooden dowel
(with OD slightly smaller than the rubber tube's ID) into the hose and using
a hollow cylindrical cutter (perhaps a cork borer) . My guess is that using
a conventional drill would be a disaster even if one cooled the rubber.
Please keep us informed.
Regards to All,
Roy Krouse.
