Dear all,

I am very interested in this discussion re: RBS50. In the past we have used
a proprietary surface active cleaner (Genclen I think) on VG SIRA II flight
tubes with dissappointing results. For badly contaminated flight tubes we
tend to scrub the inside of the tube using scotchbrite and soapy water,
then wash and rinse thoroughly in distilled water. We have found this to be
the only way to ensure that all insulating deposits are removed. Invariably
the peak shapes show dramatic improvements after this treatment!

Paul

: The RBS 50 is definitely a detergent (concentrate). You first dillute it
: according to the need and fill the flying tube. Then is very good to
: apply the ultrasonic bath (or just fasten the ultrasonic pieces from

: Well, I have no idea, where was it from, but I have such a feeling, that
: someone in Bremen could tell us the name of the company, because that
: was their recommendation to use this stuff.
