Since We do not know everyone who is on the isogeochem-list, we apologize
in advance for any duplicate mailing.
AIG-2 UPDATE
At this time, over 60 accepted tittles for papers have been received and
are listed at the end of this message. Please note that this is not the
final program. Some listed titles may change slightly in emphasis and
co-authorship. We have been promised a few additional specific titles for
some themes. If an author thinks their paper would be better given under a
different theme, we welcome your suggestion.
The tentative program has been changed such that the program for Thursday,
October 02 is interchanged with that of Friday, October 03. October 02 will
emphasize applications in the Oil/Gas Industry (geochemistry / exploration
/ recovery / environmental). The field trip and banquet will take place
Friday afternoon and evening.
Re: ABSTRACTS are due by September 01 for inclusion in the Book of
Abstracts. Those submitting on 8.5" x 11" formats should have a 1.5" margin
to the left and 1" margins elsewhere. This corresponds to a printed area of
6" (15 cm) wide by up to 9" (23 cm) long. We encourage you to include black
and white diagrams with your abstracts. The recommended maximum length is
two pages and appropriate references should be given. The suggested fonts
are Times, Roman, and Times-Roman and should be no smaller than 12 point,
typed single spaced. Recommended methods of submission are in WordPerfect
6.0 or Microsoft Word 6.0, by disk or appended to e-mail. We are also able
to deal with Latex 2e submissions (more challenging!) In absence of the
above resources, please mail or e-mail the best version you can. For easier
sorting please enter <AIG-2 Abstract> for the subject, if you e-mail the
Abstract.
Re: Hotel Accommodation. In answer to questions about accommodation
charges for spouses / children / others , not attending the sessions. There
are two options. If the single occupancy rate is paid, there is no charge
for accompanying person but he/she will not receive the meal package.
Paying two times the "per person double occupancy rate" includes meals for
two people.
It is still possible to participate. Rooms are available. Oral
presentation slots on the Program are tentatively filled, but posters are
welcome.
