Postgraduate Researcher in Environmental Isotope Geochemistry
Initial salary £15,159 pa
You will monitor lake geochemistry and recover a Holocene palaeoclimate record
from lacustrine carbonates via an extensive programme of field and laboratory
based analysis. Applicants should have an Honours degree in Chemistry,
Environmental or Earth Sciences, possess a background in aqueous geochemistry,
be PC literate and hold a clean driving licence. Knowledge of stable isotope
applications, solution-mineral equilibria software (e.g. PCWATEQ, PHREEQE)
and boat-handling experience would be an advantage. The post is funded by NERC
and is available immediately for a period of 21 months. Informal enquiries
