Dear All,

Apologies for being slightly off topic. I would like to ask if anyone has
any experience with measuring the concentration of barium in carbonates -
and I mean Ba within the lattice, not trace barite or detritus. How rare
are ancient limestones with more than 1000 ppm Ba? Perhaps someone knows a
reference which is more recent than the "Handbook of Geochemistry", which
is not bad on the subject but a little out-of-date. Thanks,

Graham
