Dear Listmembers,

does anyone know of more reliable data on carbon isotope fractionation between siderite (FeCO3) and C-bearing phase (HCO3-, CO2) ?
The experimental data from Carothers et al. 1988, GCA 52, 2445, are highly controversial with the HCO3-CO2 fractionation curve (e.g. Ohmoto - Rye 1979). I am looking also for C and O fractionation factors for magnesite (MgCO3).

Thanks in advance
