Several have contacted me off-list and said that they have conflicting
evidence from the people in England and thier machines actually crash when
they set ahead to 2000. I suggest you set your machine ahead to 01/01/00
and see if it runs or crashes. Mine certainly runs. Perhaps if your machine
crashes due to some BIOS communications errors you could set it to 01/01/20
(for the year 2000) and it would run, because it would think it was 1920.
That way you get around the problem. I surmise my machine thinks it is 1900
when I input 00 because the software supposedly "does not support any dates
past 1999).  Either way the date-time feature is a transparent function on
my Prism and Sira, operating SIRA 4.43 software. I also am running old
dedicated IBM 55sx computers, so maybe they are too stupid to withdraw all
my money from my retirement account, sell all my stocks and turn off the
lights and my telephone when the year 2000 rolls around.
