Steve Taylor:
It's been some time since I had contact with Jun-Air at their Buffalo
Grove, Illinois office, but I recently received several brochures for
Jun-Air compressors from a distributor, All Air Incorporated, 175
Clearbrook Rd., Elmsford, NY 10523, (914) 347-2445 and FAX (914) 347-3975.
I have had experience with Jun-Air 6-X oil-lubricated compressors connected
to a SIRA II at the University of Vermont (before Andrea Lini arrived) and
to an Optima at Northwestern University. Both were notorious for spraying
compressor oil all over the place. I prefer the Peak Scientific 8/24
oil-lubricated compressor we have connected to our Optima at Albany. It is
very similar in design and capacity to the 6-X but much cleaner. See our
lab web site in my signature for more details.
