Position Open - Editor-in-Chief

                        Geochemical Transactions
                            Editor-in-Chief.

The Division of Geochemistry of the American Chemical Society, in
collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry is launching a new,
fully electronic, journal of geochemistry to be known as Geochemical
Transactions.   The journal is intended to provide a medium for the
rapid publication of high quality research in all areas of chemistry as
it relates to materials and processes occurring in the Earth's
hydrosphere and geosphere.  Additional details, including the "Mission"
and "Scope" statements for the journal can be found on the Division's
Web Page at http://membership.acs.org/g/geoc/

The Editorial Board (see below) is currently soliciting nominations for
the position of Editor-in-Chief.

The individual selected will be well established and active in some area
of geochemistry and preferably should also have editorial experience.

Interested individuals should contact Dr Ken Anderson, including a CV,
(preferably in electronic form), at the address below, by June 12th
1999.

interested in this position.
