Does anyone out there have any brilliant ideas for cleaning and re-using
the Cr-filled quartz reactors for the Finnigan H/Device? We are getting
really good results but it is expensive to make new quartz reactors.
Although Cr2O3 can be slowly dissolved in acid, the small diameter of the
reactor opening makes it difficult to do this. We are thinking of a
pump-through system that slowly dissolves the Cr2O3. Has anyone tried
such a thing, or perhaps has some suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric Steig
