Paul, and everyone interested,

we did more or less the same thing in my old lab at Freising with our
RoboPrep for CN analysis. Instead of your copper tube ours was quartz, and
we used a regular lab vacuum cleaner. We never took the pains of inserting
a liner or whatever. Vacuuming appeared to be the easiest and fastest
procedure to remove the ash.
