There is a recent other book covering both stable and radiogenic
isotopes:
Attendorn, H.-G., and R. N. C. Bowen, 1997, Radioactive and stable
isotope geology. Chapman & Hall, 522 p.
This might be another alternative. I have not yet looked very carefully
into the radiogenic isotope part, and the stable isotope part is more
like an 'upgrade' (or must I say shorter version) of the former book by
Bowen:
Bowen, R., 1988, Isotopes in the Earth Sciences. Elsevier Applied
Science Publ. Ltd., 647 p.
which was not mentioned by anybody yet, too. This last book is giving
principles of SI analyses and interpretation, and therefore might be
useful for teaching - but I understand the book by Criss looks better
for teaching purposes (I have not seen that book yet myself,
unfortunately). Just for completeness, this last book, which never
turned out to be a success, and received bad reviews.
The books:
Bowen, R., 1991, Isotopes and climates. Elsevier, 483 p., and
Coleman, D. C., and B. Fry, 1991, Carbon isotope techniques. Isotopic
techniques in plant, soil, and aquatic biology series. San Diego,
Academic Press, 274 p.
might be helpful in the specific fields they cover - e.g. additional to
a more general course, if desired.
