Dear everyone,
we are setting up a conventional fluorination line for the extraction of oxygen
from silcate and oxyde minerals in Graz (Austria).
We are not decided yet, wether we should use ClF3 or BrF5 gas.
Can anybody comment on the advantages/disadvantages of either gas?
Are the two gases equivalent in their capacity to react with the rock forming
minerals?
Are they equivalent in their handling?
Are there any reasons (except for the price) to prefeare one or the other?
Thanks for your support
Rainer
