One way to avoid using Ultratorr fittings is to convert a Swagelock
compression fitting: replace the front ferrule with an o-ring (or two) and
turn the back ferrule around. I don't know if it will seal as well as an
Ultratorr, but it does work fairly well. Perhaps this is why they are
discontinuing....
