Hi All,
Job announcements and position openings are and will continue to be
an important part of the Isogeochem email list and web page. I
personally encourage employers to send ads to the list or to myself.
A list of positions (admittedly not always up to date) is available
on the Isogeochem web page at
http://geology.uvm.edu/geowww/isogeochem.html .

Job wanted postings are a slightly different matter, although I
personally do not mind them too much (they constitute a incredibly
small portion of the total mail volume). The real problem with job
wanted postings are the attachments that invariably come with them.
As it has been stressed many times by myself and by some of the more
vocal members on this list, attachments of any kind are NOT WELCOME.
However, I do believe that there should be a place in Isogeochem
where people looking for jobs can place an ad. I would be willing to
add a JOB'S WANTED section to the Isogeochem web page. Please tell
your students and colleagues. As usual, the speed at which the ads
will appear on the Isogeochem web page will depend on stress level
(mine, of course...)

Cheers,
Andrea (listowner)
