Hello all...

        We are currently modifying our GC-C-IRMS to analyze permanent
gases that contain C.  We intend to separate O2 and N2 prior to
cryofocusing the gaseous sample on the head of the column.  However,
in the event that we are not 100% successful and N2 is sent through
the combustion oven,  what sort of isotopic effects (if any) on CO
can be expected?  We have been able to find PLOT columns that provide
"baseline" separation between N2 and CO, so we don't really
anticipate a problem...but that is when they inevitably show up.
        Anyone had any experience with this...?
