I was wondering if there are other ways to regenerate a used reduction
column (copper), besides the use of hydrogen gas. Before I start
experimenting myself it would be very handy to get some practical advice on
this. Thanks.

Dear Peter,
Try to heat your Cu in a high vacuum at T= 900 deg C. It should be
clean again in 10 to 15 min. Cool it to room T before venting!!!
