Dear Maria

Next week, Oct. 22 to 26, 2000 the 7th Latin American Congress on Organic
Geochemistry (ALAGO) will take place in Iguaçu Falls, Brazil. The topic you
are interested on will certainly be extensively discussed there.
I would suggest you to contact the organization of the congress and/or
contact Petrobras' Organic Geochemistry Group:

Subject: [ISOGEOCHEM] 13C analysis in petroleum

Dear listmembers,

Here at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) we are trying to
start a study on isotopic analysis of 13C in hydrocarbons, especially in
petroleum and maybe gas. The general idea is to determine the isotopic
signature of the different kinds of oils, and to study the isotopic
composition of an oil-spill as it moves through the soil (for example,
leaking under a petrol station). Our problem is we can hardly find any
references. Do any of you have any experience on this subject? Thank you
very much,

maria Viana.
