Zach et al.,
One more F2 option. We use an F2 generator composed of the K2NiF6-KF
("Asprey salt") purchased from a laser manufacturer. Several companies
(including Lambda Physik) sell the generators as means for boosting the F2 c
ontent of excimer laser gases in situ (i.e., without having to refill
the laser).
Once the generator is exhausted we regenerate the salt using a second
generator and then send the latter to Germany to be refilled. In this way
we have doubly distilled F2 without having a cylinder in the lab.
