We use noise-dampening panels in our lab. They work remarkably well, and
aren't overly expensive. Check out www.silentsource.com. We have their
Tecnifoam anechoic wedge panels (TFW-2") on the walls and hanging from the
ceiling, which cost $150US for eight 4'x2' panels. That's enough for a room
containing a single MS. There are plenty of other noise reduction products
also listed on that website.
