Dear memberlist,
I was wondering if any litterature exists about blank values (carbon) using
EA+MS.
I tryed to evaluate the blank of two different open capsules: A capsules are
lighter and have a lower blank signal (around 0,020-0,030 V)while B capsules
are heavier with a blank value around 0,040-0,060 V. But when it comes to
folding the empty capsules A capsules show a higher variability (0,020-0,200
V) while B capsules stay constant.
And I repeated the test getting again similar results.
I guess that this is because A capsules collect, maybe, more impurities or
air because of the different thickness of tin foil compared to B capsules.
Has anybody else noticed differences or scattered values in their blank
evaluation?
Any hint is welcome
cheers
Francesca Serra
