Paul
I prepared a 2L internal standard about 10 years ago calculating D2O and
local deionized water (-84permil) to get +15permil. I let it sit for a week
mixing regularly. I got 15.6permil and I am still using it today.

Objet : Re: [ISOGEOCHEM] D2O equilibration
Does anyone if D2O added to H2O will equilibrate to HDO, or is there no
atom exchange among water molecules? We want to make some D enriched water
at about +500 delta units H/D, but cannot find a reference to say wether D
and H exchange on the water molecule or not.
Thanks in advance,
Paul Brooks.
