Questions about snow deposition collections.

1) Any collection devices that melt the snow as it is collected ?
2) After collection what storage methods are required?
3) Are biocides needed to eliminate any trace biologic activity?
4) references?

We are interested in isotopic analysis of ions and organics, so we need
alot of water
