Alessia,

I think we need to know what sort of pollution you are researching.  There
are numerous papers out there on all sorts of problems: leaking landfills,
hydrocarbon spills, oil production sites, agricultural run-off, bacterial
remediation.  Could you narrow it down for us alittle?
