Dear Kim,
In Lyon we use the standard NBS 120c which is a Florida phosphorite. We
precipitate phosphates as Ag3PO4 and some published values of this standard
(about 21.7) are available along with technical considerations in the
following paper:
Lecuyer C., Grandjean P., O'Neil J.R., Cappetta H. and Martineau F. 1993.
Thermal oceanic excursions at the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary: The d18O
records of phosphatic fish debris (northern Morocco). Palaeogeog.
Palaeoclimatol. Palaeoecol., 105: 235-243.
You may also contact A. Longinelli's team in Trieste for BiPO4 samples.
If it can be useful, Ag3PO4 from NBS 120c processed in Lyon may be
available upon request.
Best regards
Christophe
