It’s very nice to hear a word from you.
Might be I need you more then Pillinger?
Now we made a conventional fluorination line for oxygen analysis and prepare
our MI-1201 for this purpose. I want to make it suitable for relatively
small sample analysis, less than 1 micromole. Our SPVP by Sumy (do you
remember these names?) is equipment by diaphragm and is intended for inlet a
gas in molecular mode. And everybody I know here in Moscow works with
diaphragms. To eliminate fractionation we can use far less than 1% of
prepared CO2. I don’t like it and third day try to calculate a capillary
system. But there are too many factors influencing on needed capillary
dimensions: diapason of sample sizes, volume of gas camera, needed signal
level, length of molecule free run, etc.
I tried to find some papers outlining such a system, but it’s not a simple
task. Years of PERESTROIKA made breaches in libraries collections. Even in
BEN and GPNTB there are no last papers of C.T.Pillinger and co-authors
referenced in some works.
Now you see my problems and might be could help me by any way. Could you so
kind to send me as an example a description of any capillary inlet system –
a copy of a paper or technical documentation.
