Dear Ben
Magnesium perchlorate (anhidrone) is the (only?) chemist used for water
trap in the Finnigant conflow method (Elemental Analyzer plus IRMS) for CO2
measurements, so it should not cause any fractionation in the samples, but
I have never used it in a normal extraction vacum line.
