I suggest that job advertisements, etc. not be posted to listservers as
enclosed files unless absolutely necessary, and then still include a copy
of the text in the main message. 1) Most of my software is older
versions, so I can't read many enclosures. 2) With the common occurrence
of viruses (especially in Microsoft files) I do not open files unless I
know the sender is very careful about having a clean computer. Unless
something in the text of the message has really caught my attention I
generally delete listserver enclosures unread.
