Hi All,
Could someone please give me information on the delN-15 values
expected for ammonia derived from landfill gas and leachate, from
buried vegetation (if different) and from sea water. A reference
would also be helpful.
The problem involves a landfill without a liner in a drained
coastal lagoon. The main land use is pastoral farming. There are
freshwater lenses overlying a saltwedge. During winter,
groundwater drains to a network of waterways that drain the area.
High ammonia in one of the drainage channels has been linked to
landfill leachate and the possibility of investigation of this
by N-15 raised. I would appreciate comments on this possibility.
Thanks very much in advance,
Mike Stewart
