Hello all,

        I am looking for information on studies that have used organic
matrix proteins extracted  from carbonate shells (forams, mollusks, etc.)
to induce precipitation of calcite or aragonite in the lab.  In particular,
I'm interested in the d13C and d18O values of such synthetic "biogenic"
carbonates.  Any references or leads would be very helpful.
