Dear Len and subscribers,
Messer Griesheim has made the special offer of 600 DM per participating lab in
order to support the ring test, not in order to make a profit. In fact, they are
investing close to 100000 DM into the test (based on 50 labs). Thus there is no
profit for MG, except for the publicity effect. I have been in contact with MG a
number of times in order to get the best price. 600 DM is the bottom line. If
this is too much, the test cannot proceed.
Up to now (Monday, March 18th, 11:00 CET) I have received the ok from 13 labs:
C. France-Lanord, M. Groening, J. Chanton, P. Dennis, T. Heaton, S. Berlasconi,
M. Conrad, D. Coleman, H. Karlsson, P. Shanks, H. Meijer, L. Wassenaar, C.
Kendall.
Thus, we are 17 labs short from the proposed threshold. I trust that the number
of labs will increase until 15th of April. I appreciate that some labs would
like to share the gases on a regional basis. This is ok, provided the gases are
handled appropriately.
Regards Willi
