Dear all

We have a student here who is working on groundwater and is trying to track
septic tank influences in the groundwater. Can anyone point us in the
direction of references detailing delta C13 values for dissolved inorganic
carbon in a shallow groundwater system which show septic/methanogenic
influence?

We have many references which detail the carbon isotopic values of the
methane in such systems but are specifically looking for DIC values both
outside and inside a septic field.

many thanks

Penny
